Tide

»Tide« ist ein kreisrunder, handgetufteter Teppich, welcher die vom Mond beeinflussten Gezeiten Ebbe und Flut darstellt und die Wasserbewegungen der Meere imitiert.

»Tide« entspricht nicht dem herkömmlichen Bild eines Teppichs. Denn die für gewöhnlich zweidimensionale Fläche wird durch eine besondere Herstellungsweise dreidimensional. Die Gezeiten Ebbe und Flut ziehen als textiles Objekt in den Wohnbereich ein.

The design and the name of the carpet tide is inspired by the tides of the ocean, which are influenced by the moon. »Tide« is hand-tufted and mimics the waves at high and low tide. The common two-dimensional surface of a carpet becomes three-dimensional through the use of an extension. The tides find their way into the home as a textile object.
